I’ve spent a lot of time reading the manuals. I’ve also watched the standard keyboard use videos and experimented a lot. MPE+ on channel 1 does interpret and use velocity. My controller can send velocity, channel pressure and a custom CC all at the same time. It can also be set to send 1, 2 or all 3 messages. What I described was if I use channel 1, I can get it to respond to velocity, but channel pressure with my wind controller after the note is hit has no effect. With a non-MPE controller using polyphony, it’s the only option. As I described, it’s the opposite on channel 2, 3 etc. and I understand that it’s expected behavior. My wind controller is working great on channel 2. It’s the multi note response that would be nice on channel 1. As I stated, it’s quite robust in terms of what messages it will accept. My comment on my breath high resolution was that it appears that it accepts the message I’m sending, but I’m hoping for verification. NuRAD uses CC#2 and CC#34 for its Hi-Res. I also understand that CC87 is the secondary Hi-Res value for the EM. I’m extremely happy with my current results. Tweaking the presets is what I’m focused on now and eventually adding some vibrato effects that are CC controlled. On channel 2 it’s a dream come true synth IMO as long as I’m using mono polyphony. I appreciate all the feedback I’ve received in this thread. When I get around to it I’ll learn what a Poke command is and how to use them. But it’s above my skill set at this point ![]()
