Fedir Tkachov "At My Window" EP (art project soundtrack)

Merry Christmas, everyone! This summer I was involved as a composer for an art project by Jim Vecchi - American artist and photographer from Western Pennsylvania. The goal was to give a soundtrack to one long form video from his “At My Window” suite. Thematically the project explores the phenomena of people observing life through their window, with some deeper implications and thoughts.

This collaboration resulted in fresh and unusual music - I went all in into dark jazz territory for the first composition, using fretless bass and electric cello, and a kind of more open and unrestricted ambient Berlin school vibe for the second one, built with virtual and hardware synths, almost like an orchestra. Modular and CS-80-like parts were played on my Linnstrument 128.

Today I felt like sharing it more with the world, so I welcome everyone to listen, support and share your feedback and impressions.

Nicely done! I like the mood and how the vocal sounds are integrated.

I will go back and listen but there were synth sounds that sounded like vocalizations to me. When I have another listen, I will note the time stamp.

The sound is most noticeable starting at 2:16 - it isn’t a voice but it has that quality and I like it quite a bit.
