And here’s an explanation of the making of MOTIF Lite

It has been more than a year of work with help from Christophe Duquesne and the Haken Audio team. A huge thanks to them!
I tried to use the same handmade stop-motion technique as in my EaganMatrix tutorials but within Max

It works pretty well and I have several ideas for the future

I noticed several times that there is some confusion about what’s an overlay and even about what are the EaganMatrix and the Haken Editor.
I made this short video hoping to clarify all that.

Great video, the complete explanation was well appreciated. The overlay “api” is a fantastic route to go. A couple of years ago, built myself a similar Ctrlr (lua script) visual control layer to avoid menu diving but more importantly to provide a visual cue and quick understanding of a SysEx parameter changes. The idea of assigning visual elements of any kind, to a parameter or dynamic is awesome!

I feel a Haken instrument is near in my future, I will be blaming you :upside_down_face:
