Original ROLI Seaboard RISE 49 and Lightpad Block not Bluetooth pairing with my iPad

Not sure this is a good place to post but I thought there are likely some users of the original Roli MPE controllers.

I can pair the Lightpad Block on my new Mac m4 fine but bluetooth doesn’t seem to see them on my iPad Pro 3rd generation. I know I’d paired them before successfully in the past so I don’t understand. Both devices are in pairing mode and are shown in Audio MIDI Setup in pairing mode.

Does anyone have any clues on why this might be?

Thank you!

Greg

P.S. everything is up to date in terms of firmware and software.

Did you try to “ Clear your mobile device’s Bluetooth cache” ??

This is for CME WIDI devices but might be similar…

Yes, I’ve tried that. Thanks for the idea!

Don’t know if it’ll help, but some kind soul (probably here?) told me about an app “midimittr” which helped me get my last-generation Lumi to work with iPad.

Thanks a lot! Going to give that a try tomorrow!

Midimttr allowed me to connect my bluetooth devices on my Mac Mini but the Roli and Lightpad won’t show up on my iPad. Midimttr is good because I can connect them without opening my DAW but I would love to find a way to bluetooth to my CME Midi Jack without having to have my computer or iPad. I’m guessing the bluetooth technology in the Seaboard and Lightpad are just too old at this point.

I don’t think that is true. Something is not right on that iPad; does it work with other BT devices? You can do a hard reset, might help…

Yes the iPad works with a CME WIDI Jack and all my other non music bluetooth devices. By hard reset do you mean restarting my iPad? I have done that.
