Anybody here know how to do it please.
Thanks
I didn’t think it was possible to overwrite those.
I had the problem that the presets were all deleted when using the “reset to factory settings” function. (So the Osmose didn’t play any sounds anymore afterwards. This was still with Osmose 49 but I guess there is no difference in that regard). I got it fixed by reinstalling the latest firmware with the installer from the expressivee support site. This also restored the presets.
Osmose/EM is different than older/other synths where presets are in ROM.
Factory reset puts you into a blank slate with the minimal functionality to allow reflashing the firmware and preset stores, which is not much more than USB MIDI connectivity. You must run the installer after a hard reset.
Installation always completely rewrites the preset stores.
If you’ve ever created user presets, first thing is to put the installer in Advanced mode and do a backup. Installing will then restore everything. Latest installer should do backup/restore by default, but best to be explicit.
Hey thanks , The website suggests an ap Named Updater. The website associated to my Account gives only HAKEN editor. It then says you can not use the Editer without MAX. Ugh. Downloaded Max and I have the device and laptop talking. But the Osmose website says if the Firmware less then 2.1 you cant use the Editor they give you. Ugh 2, then you have to fgo to HAKEN site to get the older editor. Ugh 3 the Haken site says you can not use the Editors listed must come form Osmose. UGHHH.
Edit: Right, no firmware downloads for the Osmose 61 yet. Must be an oversight, it is available for Osmose 49. Best open a ticket.
Ah, thanks… he says after hours last night trying to figure it out
