Or āErae Touch miniā ? Interesting if the price is reasonableā¦
Iām sure the timing is no coincidence, but they are very different products.
Interesting. Would consider to buy this if it had a width of 120 cm. (More instruments, less gadgets )
Poll with anonymous votes:

It really depends what they feel they have to charge for it.
Everyone on IG is like āit should be $200.ā
I think the Lightpad M was more than that, at a quarter of the size. But sure, Iād theyāre willing to compete with Launchpad pricing for a full MPE controller they absolutely should.
Should they release it at $700, letās say?
Probably not.
At $400, itās more of a gray area. That being twice what their followers said they would value it as, and all.
They might regret this poll.
Iād be surprised if there are really āno official plansā, this kind of stuff is often just a marketing move
personally, looks ok to meā¦
I did think the roli blocks were a bit smallā¦ made more sense when you had a few of them (which I think was what Roli wanted )
this looks like itāll be much more useful on its own.
its going to be interesting on pricingā¦ with ET 2 at 800 euros (ex vat), seems difficult to price it too close to that. and we have seen Embodme put the ET on sale pretty frequently.
(and Im sure we are going to see a few used ET mk1 surfacing)
all that said, I think Roli has a strong marketing department/brand awarenes to help things along.
Interesting time for Roli, as we dont really know how well the AirWave is going to be received.
but as always, happy to see innovation - and I wish them luck with it.
I think pairing Airwave with something like a grid or a touchscreen is more appealing to me than pairing it with anything keyboard shaped. (read: I think we could fit three Lightpad Pro units in Airwaveās sensor range, and am sort of obsessed with the notion.)
It neednāt be an expressive surface like Lightpad or Erae; I think a Launchpad Mini would be more than sufficient, and a monome grid would be positively ideal for that. Iād love to go MIDI Fighter 64 with it, myself.
Still. It theyāre developing scripts for the pairing of Airwave and Lightpad Pro, that might be what sells me on Airwave.
And if theyāre not, Iām still interested in scripting for Lightpad Pro, regardless.
Depending on cost, anyway.
(Itād be a lot easier if they sent me a devkit.)
