What does the "loop" (or as it shows in the manual called "seq") button do on the Erae II?

It does seem to be mapped to any function in the latest software. It doesn’t do anything when I press it and it stays unlit.

good question, I think they may have broken it…

I seem to remember it bringing up settings for the looper, a bit like the way scale/arp/routing does. i.e. these buttons were like ‘modes’, a flat level.
but a while back, they seem to make the ‘loop window’ a top level window, so “back” takes you there - which kind of made it ‘redundant’, and so possibly a candidate for ‘re-purposing’.

I had a look at the manual, and it shows “11.14 Looper Settings Screen”.
though, oddly, I don’t remember these (though could be wrong)

what I think is possible, is this may be in the process of changing this
(recently, I noticed there was another ‘feature’ mentioned in the manual thats not yet in the released firmware.- 5.9 Api Zone - Finger Data Rate)

also pretty sure the manual said loop not seq before,
so again, perhaps points to it being re-purposed?

whats interesting is, they mentioned adding a sequencer…
I assumed was just going to be an element, or layout similar to the Erae 1…

but if its going to get a dedicated ‘seq’ button, perhaps its going to be, perhaps it’ll be something a bit different, perhaps more a global feature - like the looper, perhaps an alternative view on the looper data!? and seq/loop button will switch between the modes?

That was my best guess too!
